Are your kids eligible for FREE dental?
The Australian Dental Association recommends that children under 18 years of age should have their dental check-up every 6-12 months. To help parents give their kids a lifetime of healthy smiles and good oral habits, the government offers the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), which offers access to $1,000 worth of dental services over two years for each eligible child.
This means that your child’s dental appointments could cost you NOTHING out of pocket.
It’s not just standard check-ups that the CDBS will cover; it can be used on a range of different services, including x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals, and extractions.
Your children may be eligible if:
- they’re under 18 years old, and
- they qualify for Medicare, AND They or their parents get a qualifying payment from Centrelink at least once in the calendar year.

We recommend starting around age two, whether they watch you get your teeth cleaned or have their own teeth gently polished. It’s a great way for us to check their teeth and gums early on.
During the visit, we’ll answer any questions and see how their teeth are developing. We’ll also share tips on brushing and keeping their teeth healthy.
